Whether singing is your chosen career or just a treasured hobby, my goal is to help you succeed! I offer voice lessons to students of all backgrounds, ages and a variety of styles. I take a healthy, classical vocal approach to encourage freedom, ease and power in the voice. A student of Bel Canto, Alexander Technique and Yoga, I incorporate a full body approach to singing. My students range from amateurs to Broadway talent. I have prepared students to perform on stage, book agents, and to be featured in television and film. My younger students have been accepted into top performing arts programs such as The Professional Performing Arts School, Interlochen Center for the Arts and various conservatory programs.

Lessons are tailored to each individual student but generally begin with a breathing and vocal warm-up, followed by some technical exercises and finishing with a piece of music or several of their choosing. That being said, the lesson can be focused on whatever is important to

Rebecca is the most caring person I have ever seen. She wants her students to get better and find the voice that fits them. My experience with her was unforgettable and it will help me as I proceed with an intention of pursuing a career in singing.

Rebecca is a wonderful vocal teacher with an incredibly warm personality that puts me at ease at encourages me to enjoy the practice of singing. During lessons, she explains each exercise very clearly and always knows the right advice to give when I am having trouble grasping a concept. She always inspires me to work hard to reach my own goals and her dedication to our lessons together has already led to amazing leaps in progress in my voice. I would absolutely recommend her for students of any level of training; you will very quickly notice the progress in your own voice while enjoying the art of singing.

I want to make sure my students have a good time learning drums but I also want to make sure they learn a lot..! I always make sure to ask my students what they want to learn and what their favorite music is... after that, I figure out what type of lessons to plan out.

The key to playing music is to have fun. Whether you are just starting out or if you have been playing for some time, you should have fun with your music. That’s the first lesson I learned when my uncle let me pick up his guitar. It took me a lot of practice to be where I am now, and I learn more about playing guitar every day.

While my main goal is to help you develop your skills and interests as a guitar player, I have a deep love for songwriting. You can learn so much just from hearing a well written song, and even if writing isn’t something you are reading interested in, I hope I can help you develop a deeper appreciation for the craft.

If you take anything away from these lessons I hope it’s this: everyone learns at their own pace. What you know and what you take away from a lesson will be your own, and it might not be the same thing that someone else takes away from that lesson. And no matter who you are learning from, have fun!

About Scott

Hi! My name is Scott, or Scooter, whichever you prefer. I’ve had a love for music since I was a little kid. When I was younger I would walk around the house whistling all day, despite my dad constantly asking me to stop, and the older I got it turned into drumming on whatever I could get my hands o

Hello, I am a doctoral candidate at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, major in piano performance and literature and cognate in piano pedagogy. I have my own piano studio in Champaign area as well as my teaching assistant job at the university. Each student has their own talent on specific music category, my goal is to develop their potential as possible. My first part of teaching is always on technique, students who solve the technique issue would be able to play music they like, in other words, to express the music naturally in the piano performance.

"If you're someone who is new to music and looking for the right teacher, give Clare a call.

I've recently had the pleasure of taking violin lessons with Clare for eight months. I am an adult violin student and before I took lessons from Clare I had virtually zero previous musical training. Clare was the perfect teacher for me. She kept me interested and motivated to learn. Her lessons were well thought-out, well taught and, just as importantly, they were just plain fun. Because of Clare I feel like I have an excellent foundation from which to continue my learning. If I wasn't moving away because of a new job I would definitely still be taking lessons from her.

As an adult, I was kind of nervous to start learning a musical instrument, especially one as tricky as the violin. Clare helped me immensely. She's a wonderful teacher."

"Lola is a professional at what she does. From the moment I walked into my first lesson, I could tell she was very knowledgeable about music. Beyond music, she is a very kind and welcoming woman who is patient and understanding. She talks with you and really cares about what you're saying. She is a great teacher for anyone of all levels of experience in music and I recommend her for everyone."

"I have had a vocal coach before meeting Pam, but she absolutely took it to another level. Pamela does a good job with teaching the mechanics of singing, as she pin points which muscles the body is using and how to use them properly when singing. She has a variety of warm ups and stretches to get your voice and body prepared to perform and is very good and pushing you to become your best. If you are a serious singer and would like to take the knowledge of your craft a step further, I would definitely recommend."

"I took lessons from Greg when I was much younger say 12-13 for a year or more. He taught me a lot and had me playing guitar really fast, I always tried to do what he asked and he never ever got frustrated if I did it wrong or couldn't play what we were learning right away correctly!. Also all of what he taught me stayed in my head all these years some how and I kinda progressively got better and better!. I'm pretty happy with my playing and a lot of others are to!. Greg has something special about his students and teaching them to play the guitar correctly no matter what or how long it takes, he cares about you as a student. You get out what you put in ,but be patient cause it also takes time. But you'll see the difference later down the road that Greg was the right teacher for learning to play and the theory behind the guitar.....I recommend him as a great guitar teacher!. I myself take lessons from him again at the age of 38 , I was able to find him on Facebook after all these years and we do lessons via Skype, I'm a very happy student, very happy!. And I thank Greg Gladman for that!."

He showed me an exercise to break that bad habit, it is also helping me to move from one chord to another smoothly and easily. I can already tell the difference in just a few days. He explained things in a way, I fully understood. I had a great lesson and cant wait till the next!"

Tips for Singing with Allergies: How Do You Cope?

Spring is in full swing now, and for many, allergy season came right along with it.  Allergies can wreak havoc on your tone, breathing and vocal cord strength - and just like you should take special care when singing with a cold, taking extra precautions if you have allergies is just as vital. Allergy symptoms can vary person to person, but common woes include itchy, puffy eyes, sinus issues, a scratchy throat, and an itchy upper palate (roof of your mouth).  If you suffer from severe aller …
