Guitar (Acoustic/Electric) lessons for beginners focus on finger placement, strumming, sight-reading, understanding groove and chord placement. Students will learn to care for their instrument as well as tuning the guitar. learning to play their favorite style of songs and ultimately be taught the skills to pick out a song and play it on their own!

Broadway Singing is my passion! I've played piano on Broadway for 4 shows (Wicked, Mean Girls, Motown, and The Color Purple). And yet, teaching singing is just as rewarding.
I focus on technique (low breaths, engaging support muscles, steady stream of air on the exhale...), pitch (the first step is to hear it!), and musicality - how to express not only the dynamic contours of the music, but also how to tell the story compellingly.
I also love working on Acting While Singing. So often, performers will act wonderfully until their songs, then drop out of character once they start singing. Many directors have said "I'd rather have an actor who can't sing than a singer who can't act". To improve this, we'll look at how to use a lyric specifically and personally in order to stay in the moment.
