I began studying Japanese when I was in high school. I grew up in Hawaii, where the Japanese culture is mixed in with various other cultures, and I had an immediate interest in Japanese culture and language, as well as the way the English language differs for many people and why a dialect of Hawaiian Pidgin came about. I have a lot of hobbies. Among them are board games, video games, tennis, weightlifting, and reading.
