TOEFL with Emily D.

My name is Emily Davis. I have a BA in Intercultural Studies and a BA in Dance from Belhaven University. I also have a CELTA certification from Cambridge University. I am currently at SHSU to achieve an MFA in Dance. My intercultural studies degree and my CELTA certification have prepared me to teach ESL efficiently and effectively. I have taught pre-and upper-intermediate multilingual classes of 5-15 students in ESOL. I have tailored lessons according to research and analysis of students’ needs. I also have employed original and authentic texts to create activities targeting receptive and productive skills and language systems. I have been living and working in the field of dance for over 15 years, and have taught in Florida, Mississippi, and Texas. As an expert in the performing arts, I teach private pointe, ballet, and modern/contemporary lessons. I also am trained to build a personalized exercise program for dancer based on their strength and endurance needs as evaluated.
