Hello, I have a Ph.D. in Math and have been teaching college math courses and tutoring HS math courses for over 40 years. My top subjects are Statistics, Probability, Calculus, Discrete Math, Finite Math as well as HS AP and pre-calculus classes. I tutor in-person as well as online. With online tutoring I can be contacted on short notice and if I am free we can connect immediately so I can give homework assistance or help prep for an exam. For In-Person tutoring I tutor in my home office, in your home or at a mutually agreeable location. I am near Queens College and St. John's University if meeting on campus is convenient. (Travel charge might increase for a longer travel distance or time. Upper level or graduate courses might be at a higher hourly rate.) I have been successfully tutoring students for as long as I have been teaching. My goal is to give my students the ability to understand the mathematical concepts that will enable him or her to do well in their particular course. I know that math does not come easily to everyone and I tailor my tutoring to go at a pace that is appropriate for each individual. It is just as important for a tutor to listen to the student as it is for the student to pay attention to the tutor. I look forward to putting my tutoring to work to help you meet and exceed your expectations.
