"Exactly what your looking for
I've only been taking lessons with Christian for a month but let me say that I've improved more and learned more than I cou
ld've ever thought possible in a month. Christian is a down to earth guy, and isinvolved and patient in every lesson. He not only teaches you how to become better in the style of music that you plan on pursuing, but he focuses on you and your playing ability as a whole. For example I am planning on auditioning for music college and majoring in jazz in a few months and Christian not only teaches me jazz but he also teaches me classical increasing my playing ability entirely. He designs every lesson to fit your specific needs and is a people person who makes every lesson challenging but fun as we'll. If you are a prospective musician or even one who just wants to improve his or her playing on whole he is your guy. He'll teach you not only how to reach the playing ability you want but also how to teach yourself once you move on from his lessons. Just give him one lesson and he'll show you that you don't want to go anywhere else."

"Molly is the best.
I came to Molly because I had never really sung before, and had wanted to pick it up after playing different instruments. I was pretty
self conscious about the whole idea of singing, and didnt really have that much faith in it. I really didnt know what to expect from singing lessons at all, but Molly really broke things down for me and made the experience positive. She wasn't judgmental or pushy in any way at all. She listened to my ideas of what I wanted to sing, and some of the artists I got inspiration from. Not only that, but she's really awesome because she likes so many different genres of music! I would think that most vocal teachers prefer more classical types of music, but Molly could totally relate to rock n roll, alternative, etc. After my first lesson with Molly I felt 100% more confident about training my voice, and everything I was looking for in voice lessons I found. Thats why I keep taking lessons from her. She set me up with many different exercises to practice by myself, and she does a really good job of breaking things down so that a person with no singing experience can understand everything. Overall, I would recommend anyone, regardless of age or music preference to go to Molly for vocal lessons.
Also, she does skype lessons which is a HUGE help for me considering I live a little far from her. (I didnt know what to expect with that either, but you'll be surprised how well it works).

"Fantastic Piano Teacher
I lived very close to Thai and I am fortunate to be studying under him, I immediately connected with Thai not only musically, but
on a relational level as well. We study in a very relaxed, professional environment that makes it comfortable for me to express myself not only creatively but personally as well. Mr. Thai was able to pick up right where my last instructor left off and direct me on the path to success. I am challenged where I need to be and I am given freedom as a musician to play where my heart leads. I also had the opportunity to watch him play at Sharp hospital. It was a blessed experience to see Thai play so beautifully, touching those who maybe lonely and heart sick, or touching those who are experiencing great news and celebrating with joy. I highly recommend Thai Khuong to students of various levels, from beginner to professional."
Sam is not only an amazing drummer and drum teacher, but he is one of those peopl
e who brings a positive vibe with him everywhere he goes. My son began drum lessons with Sam three years ago at 5 years old, and Sam was flexible with both studio and home lessons. As a school teacher myself, I could see that Sam's teaching style offers a structure customized to each student's learning style, yet also allows for fun through musical exploration. His effortless positive energy and encouragement, easily spills over to his students during lessons, which allows them to reach their maximum potential while fostering a passion and love for drumming! Trust me when I say, this is not an easy feat when teaching a five, six or seven year old, yet Sam made it look easy, and my son couldn't wait until the next lesson! Sam is professional, invested in his students' musical growth and happiness, and is very reliable, you truly cannot ask for more!"

Kat works very well with little ones. She was very relaxed from the very first visit which definitely made it even easier o

She was and is absolutely wonderful with her! Kat has an amazing voice & my daughter cant stop talking about her & cant wait for her lessons. We definitely made the perfect choice!"

*** Bio *** I have an MFA in Music Composition and Piano Performance from California Institute of the Arts and a BA in Music Composition from UC Santa Barbara. I began piano at the age of 7 and composition at age 15. Teaching has always been important to me. I started providing lessons in high school and learned that giving musical knowledge is just as important as acquiring the skills it takes to be a musician. Studying with me will help you become a well-rounded musician with the a
bility to play the type of music you want to play.
Constantly composing, film scoring, and performing, I'm a very active musician that works with classical musicians, rock musicians, and everything in between. I teach a variety of instruments and will cater lessons to your styles and interests. I'm also a recording artist and work with music software such as Ableton Live, Native Instruments, and Sibelius. I would love to teach you how to compose and record your own music in whichever genre you prefer.
*** Lesson Details *** Many of my students have studied music in the past, but weren't able to keep the passion. I pride myself as a very enthusiastic teacher that works hard at making lessons fun and interesting for any age and background. All of my students (from 3 years old to 60 years old) enjoy music and practice harder than ever. You will be provided with a solid foundation in theory, aural skills, technique, and creativity, giving you the ability to carve your own path in music. You will learn the correct way to play your instrument and develop the intuition to command it expressively.
*** Studio Equipment *** My North Hollywood studio is a private garage turned into a studio. It has 2 desks, a full-size Yamaha keyboard, ukulele, accordion, didgeridoo, guitar, electric bass, chairs, music stand, laptop, and a printer.
My Mar Vista studio is a private room in a house with a semi-concert grand Steinway piano and everything else included in the North Hollywood studio.

Kathryn was a tremendous teacher! I not only progressed in my singing technique but Kathryn helped be grow my confidence as a performer and a composer! Kathryn also has an amazing personality on top of everything which I believe makes her a great person to learn from.
I have taught voice for over twenty years. I studied music at University of California, Santa Barbara, where I received my B.A. I currently work as a professional singer for various local opera companies, music theater groups, churches and temples. I am principal soprano for Opera A La Carte and have also soloed with Repertory Opera Company, Redlands Bowl Festival, Laguna Beach Chorale and Celestial Opera Company. I have worked extensively in Los Angeles schools performing musical assemblies for students in elementary and middle grades through Southland Opera, LA Opera and Guild Opera of South
ern California. My teaching experience includes private voice lessons and master classes at Idyllwild School for the Arts.
*** Lesson Details *** I emphasize breathing techniques to free up the voice to expand your range and ease of singing. In the lesson, we start with simple warm ups and vocalizes and then apply techniques to the songs you want to sing. I realize each student is different and I customize the lesson to the student's particular needs. I specialize in classical and music theater, however the basics of singing apply to all styles of music. In addition to working on breathing and technique for singing, we'll also focus on interpretation of the songs you are working on as well as how to overcome performance nervousness. Most students find that they are able to sing with more freedom, less tension and will have more confidence as they progress.
I also teach beginning piano, using the John W. Schaum series.
*** Studio Equipment *** Lessons in the main room, upright piano
*** Travel Equipment *** They need to provide a piano or keyboard if I am going to their home. I have a piano in my home.
*** Specialties *** I work on using the breath as a fundamental technique for singing. Singing should never hurt. I use a lot of imagery to achieve freedom in singing.

Wonderful teacher! Amazing what I have learned since I began the classes last year.
British born and Educated at London's prestigious Trinity College of Music and The Royal Academy of Music, my professional musical career has spanned over two decades to date. I have performed with world renowned acts such as Sia, Dave Stewart and Horace Andy, and have been a featured recording artist on many of the worlds most famous film scores while myself having authored or co-authored over 30 movie scores. A Suzuki violin student since the age of 3, I added piano, guitar, singing and composition during my teenage years. The Suzuki method encourages advanced aural development from very ea
rly on and this has turned out to be my strongest suit. With my ear, I have impressed some of the most notable orchestrators, composers, directors and producers in London, Hollywood and the world over. In fact, it was these on the spot aural magic tricks that allowed me to impress the Hollywood composer that first invited me to Los Angeles to work on my first blockbuster. That opportunity led to many years of success in the industry and some notoriety. I have always had a passion for teaching, sharing my knowledge with others and watching other people take immense pleasure in their own achievements. I have been told time and time again that I have a very special gift for teaching and I would very much like to share it with you, whether you want to learn an instrument, musicianship, ear training, composition, hone your vocal or mic skills or learn how to arrange an orchestral piece in just a few hours! I look forward to talking to you about your specific needs and goals and having the opportunity to help you realize them in a fun friendly and authentic atmosphere. Andrew

Andrew is an expert singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist and a great teacher. Over the course of a few months, he's worked with me to hone my technique and to bring out the best in my voice.
Learning isn't always easy ... especially if you aren't born with a lot of natural talent. But Andrew is a patient teacher, and his expertise allows him to keep you focused on the fundamentals while trying new approaches to find out what works for you.

Andrew really creates a very comfortable environment for the singer. I've never seriously sang in front of anyone before, so I had a bunch of apprehension about the whole experience. However, Andrew's confidence in me made me believe in myself. It's an honor being taught by Andrew, an experienced and professional teacher.

Laurel taught my kids piano lessons for several years. When she moved away, she proved impossible to replace. She really cared about the kids' learning. For example, when my son seemed to connect better with the process and logic behind the music, she got him started composing his own! Both kids benefited greatly from Laurel's teaching and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a piano teacher.
