I’ve been taking online lessons from Connie for 6 months now and couldn’t be happier. She helped me develop a good foundation and has been so encouraging along the way! I love that she pays attention to detail and goes out of her way to write weekly lesson notes, make recordings for me, adds in music theory and is helping me towards my first exam. Connie’s passion for music and teaching is evident and I’m thankful I found her online!

My son has been taking lessons from Connie and we love having her as his teacher! She helps him with his confidence playing solo and also working through school orchestra music... he’s now one of the more advanced in his group! Connie focuses on the details to set up a good foundation and has been great helping him with some bad habits he devolved years ago. She has lots of experience with every age group and teaches all the way through very advanced level. Thankful she came recommended to us!
Jeanne
She's very good. Very patient and clear. She'll tailor the lessons to your level of understanding. I'm an older adult learner with no musical knowledge at all and am learning fast thanks to her. I look forward to continuing my lessons.

Viola is the glue that bind the violin and cello in any strings ensemble. Whether you are a beginner, violin transplant, or switch hitter. I will work with you to become a proud member of this close-knit group. An excellent choice of instrument for someone arriving late to the music game, or someone who wants to become a more versatile violinist.

For beginners, I prefer using the "Essential Elements for Strings" book, which offers students a head start to what many school will use in their classrooms. For intermediate students, the "Suzuki" books offers repertoire that has become a rite of passage for any string player. Advanced students can expect pieces that are tailor selected for them to show off their unique strengths and address their weakness.

About Chen

Chen is a music teacher, violinist/violist, and conductor with over 15 years of experience. While attending New York University (NYU), he majored in music education and studied with Mark Steinberg of the Brentano String Quartet. Kristen is AMAZING! She's not just a voice teacher, she's like a vocal specialist. She has the ability to hear what her students need and then help them fine tune their voice. She helped both of my daughters unlock parts of their voice they didn't know they had. Another gift she has is the ability to teach stage presence and confidence that many teachers don't have. My daughter Emma says Kristen helped her develop her own unique voice and that she's very positive and encouraging. That made all the difference for Emma.

"I really have loved taking lessons with Tigran N. I just began this year with him after completing a masters in music from a private college. I have learned so much already. I leave each lesson wanting to work harder and the best part is that he gives me great tips on exactly HOW to practice so I can get the most out of my practice time. It's been a great experience and I am so thankful for the way he challenges me and gives helpful criticism so that I can become a better violinist."

"Taught at the basic level very well. If you know nothing about music or guitar Tommy's your guy. Goes through all the simple steps at an even pace making the entire experience relaxing. From there giving you the knowledge of your scales and blues scales, teaching you how to make mini solos on the spot really helps out with the musicality of it all. 10/5"

"Joey taught our now daughter to play the keyboard over the course of two years (when she was 7 to 9). He a great teacher -- funny, silly, comfortable in his own skin, knows how to speak in an age appropriate way. Not only did she learn how to play the keyboards but he also taught her how to read music. Though she eventually decided to take a break, she continues to create songs on the keyboard, and continues to have a love of music. Thank you, Joey!!!"

"I have taught with Kristen this past year in an elite high school setting. She was responsible for groups of 6-10 students for sectionals. She was demanding of good intonation and musicianship, and, with her lovely personality, the students were inspired to try their very best. I have observed her teach many levels, from beginners to advanced students. She is able to pinpoint problems, and correct them with creative solutions. I would choose Kristen to teach my child."
