As an instrumentalist and composer, I have the privilege of an active and successful career in Music, performing across the country as well as internationally with world-class artists, and writing music for some of the most sought after performers in the country.
I believe Music is, most importantly, a tool for communication. As a teacher, my goal is to show students how to use this tool on their path towards clearer, more confident self-expression, and in so doing, further myself along the same path.

He is also a brilliant composer, and is an excellent composition teacher as well! Although my lessons were mostly focused on violin, he provided much useful advice for improving my compositions for orchestra and symphonic band as well.
I highly recommend Kris as an instructor for music students of any proficiency level!

In lessons, I will teach students how to develop an embouchure and make sound, have proper technique, discuss equipment care, how to read music and develop note recognition, and ultimately, play music. All of this, while helping students to develop their
The goal is to get my students playing with proper technique, so that this will carry on throughout their career and playing of the instrument. After getting some sounds out of the instrument and having decent technique, students will be assigned 1-2 songs to work on each lesson. It is the learning of music on one's own, that I believe, truly challenges the student to continue to apply information given in lessons.

Now, it has been one month, and I enjoy his classes. His analogies and examples are an apt way of understanding the techniques of playing the violin. Though Dr. Dimitry is an advanced violinist, he is very patient with absolute beginners. To sum up, I would highly recommend him to people who are very serious and determined to learn and practice the violin.

The voice is an instrument and, like any instrument, you need to understand how each part of your instrument works to create music. You also need to know the best way to take care of your instrument so that you don't permanently damage it.
I teach vocal techniques and exercises to help my students become a better singer. My students will learn how to use their diaphragm; how to use dynamics; how to project; how to build up their lung capacity; how to sing in a clear and articulate manner; how to sing various different types of music; how to control their voice; and how to develop their natural ear for music as well as showmanship.
About Tina
A recent transplant from Los Angeles, California; I have been singing professionally for more than forty years as well as having leading roles in local theatre productions. I have also been assistant director, musical director, choreographer, costumer and writer for many productions from West Side

I am an older student and I was very self conscious and nervous. Edward makes me feel welcome and is patient and extremely helpful to me in making me feel comfortable playing the piano. I have learned more from him than any other piano teacher I have ever had. It is a joy to come to my lessons and learn from Edward. He is knowledgeable and is teaching me more advanced piano. I am so glad to be working with Edward and playing piano again and enjoying it. Thank you Edward!"
