I truly admire people who decided to learn Russian, I do my best to share my passion for the language with my clients. I believe that when you learn a new language, you see the world through that language. Learning a language is not only about the language, it involves human communication, a sharing of ideas, culture, travelling, history, arts, personal and professional development. So my lessons always include a basic cultural section where I introduce culture and customs to the students or any other topic the learner interested in. At my lessons, I have creativity and do my best to build an exciting and interesting learning experience. In practice I utilize interactive teaching methods and activities to motivate students to learn and communicate in a foreign language. I always use visual aids, such as software tools or videos and make students feel that learning a foreign language is fun and interesting. Zhao Yang is the perfect teacher. She is attentative, patient, thorough, encouraging, and extremely informative. I am so glad that I chose to learn from her. She assessed my knowledge of Mandarin in the very first lesson. The lessons are tailored to my interests and learning style. Not every teacher has the ability to teach in a way that caters to an individual's learning needs and abilities. Having this ability makes Zhao Yang (feichang hao!) great! Each session, she reviews what was taught in the previous lesson and homework given. She also gives me a game plan on what I should practice as well as tools that I'll need to help me practice. I feel more and more confident after each lesson. I really appreciate Zhao Yang!!!

Evgeniya is an amazing Russian teacher! I am an English speaker, and I live in a place where Russian is widely spoken. I have tried a few times to learn Russian, and this is the first time that I am optimistic that I will progress in learning to be more conversational. I would recommend this class to anyone!
