I was a Chinese language instructor. My duties: Teach Chinese language, prepare and develop lesson plan, assign and check homework, review, analyze, adapt curriculum to meet student needs, use various teaching methods to increase student proficiency in written and oral proficiencies, use performance and proficiency oriented activities to engage students in task based activities, teach cultural subjects on traditions, family, values, beliefs, customs, and ethnic characteristics, assess and provide feedback to students in regards to their performance, review and evaluate completed student course work, apply new developments and techniques used in foreign language instruction, Use appropriate resources such as SmartBoards, the Internet, iPads, etc. All students are military personnel and every one of them has successfully completed Chinese language courses with very good scores on their written and OPI (Oral Proficiency Interview)
