- Teaching since:
I have been tutoring since 2014 when I worked in Spanish elementary school. Prior to that, I graduated from Exeter Univeristy with a Master's in Social and Political Philosophy and a Bachelor's degree in Politics from the University of Leicester. I also was employed by the prestigous tutoring service Titanium Tutors in London.
I teach Philosophy, Political Sciences, and History up to advanced level having covered these subjects extensivley over my college career. I can teach Spanish up to intermediate level having lived in Spain and studied at school, as well as English, Geography, and Religion. I am also happy teaching writing skills and preparing for exams.
I believe the best way for students to learn is through a dialogue, for them to show they understand. To acheive this, I avoid lecturing and rote learning. Instead, I set out clear learning objectives at the start and then ask appropriate questions to ascertain the student's understanding throughout our lessons together. This way my lessons are personable, and geared towards the individual student's needs.
I also believe learning should be enjoyable. I create a fun, enthusiastic lesson environment. I have worked with students of all ages and have built good rapport with them all. I look forward to getting to know you and starting working together soon!
I tutored students of all ages, tailoring lessons to their specific needs.
I learned the key methodologies of teaching English as a foreign labguage, how to plan lessons, how to improve my teaching style.
I took this course while working as a language assistant. I could learn through practice in the classroom as well as through the TEFL course.
