Hula Hoop with Tiana Z.

I traveled the world teaching and performing an innovative style of hoop dance, which emphasizes having fun and building a healthy relationship to our bodies and the circle. I won Female Hooper of the Year in 2013 and set off across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Europe, U.K., Ireland, Indonesia, Philippines, and Dubai connecting with people of all ages. I meet every student where they are and believe there is fun to be had at all stages of practice.I offer foundational practices that build strength in the body and create safe space for exploration. I break down technical skills so that large "tricks" can be understood as small interconnected movements. I give every student the opportunity to explore their own dance and build connections through their own flow, and offer insights to their own unique movements. I am grateful to play with this practice and look forward to bringing the joy to you!
