I was unsure of my course in life and my career path. I spoke to a gentleman I respected who told me to "stay close to the money" so I became an accountant. It's not a glamorous job. It's not very easy on your family (tax season is horrible). But it is rewarding using your brain every day. Surprisingly enough, most accountants are outgoing people with vibrant lives. I'm not that, but most are. Most also have less dry senses of humor. Also not me, but hey I figure I'd let you know what you're getting yourself into.
