I love studying and teaching ASL. Having served in the Peace Corps, I honed exceptional interpreting skills by interacting with and interpreting for the deaf community there. I studied Sign Language under a tutor for many years. I deeply enjoy signing and immersing myself in Deaf Culture. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to learn the basics of ASL including numbers, grammer and the alphabet and as time goes on you'll be able to have conversations, formulate questions and learn about Deaf Culture. ASL is an incredible and useful skill to have in a myriad of ways. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!

Hi. I grew up in Southern California, however, my family traveled abroad extensively and I was therefore able to experience life in different countries with cultures unique to my own. This deeply influenced my worldview and helped me become the person I am today. I graduated from the University of San Diego in 2018 with a B.A. in International Relations and Spanish minor. I recently moved to New York to pursue an M.A. in International Affairs with a concentration in Development from The New School. I hope to one day work for an INGO or at the UNHCR supporting asylum seekers and refugees.
