Besides teaching how to sew I specialize in teaching sewers how to use their sewing machines. Did you buy a machine at a department store, get a hand me down, pick up one at a yard sale or at Goodwill? I'd love to show you how to use sewing machine. I've been sewing since I was 8, took 2nd place in our local singer sewing contest at age 11. I've been teaching since 1985. I've taught sewing, serging, and quilting at 2 chain fabric stores, Parks and Recreation, and privately. I was fortunate to work for a company for over 4 years filling government contracts sewing spacesuits for NASA and Airships for surveillance to keep our troops overseas safe. I've owned an embroidery business for a total of 13 years but really enjoy teaching student how to sew and use their machines. Experience teaching sewing, quilting, machine embroidery, and digitizing. Technique skills in showing student what their machine can do, pattern layout, seams, overcasting, basting, gathering, seam overcasting, button holes, zippers, buttons by machine, drafting patterns for kids. Your class time will be spend learning what you want to know how to do and having fun in a stress free class with a very easy going teacher.

Certificate of completed software training. Creative Customizing is the use of multiple techniques used to add layers to the embroidery design to make it more interesting. Advanced Digitizing covers all of the additional features available to the digitized beyond those of basic, such as the manually creation of a design from an image in the digitizers imagination instead of a hard copy graphic and/or creating the design stitch by stich if the digitizer wants to get every detail right in the embroidery design. Advanced Editing is the manipulation of components and/or stitches already formed to alter their positioning or shape to create what is wanted on the final embroidery design. I have keep current with each software up-date.
