ASL is taught using the Bible.  Lessons are flexible and based on what the student would like to learn - their favorite Christian songs, bible verses or gospel stories translated into ASL. Feedback will be given on how to improvise your ASL during the conversation, including ASL grammar, facial expressions, non-manual markers, classifiers, etc.
Can also I nclude Deaf related issues, or even how to sign in ASL your beliefs in Christianity, learn ASL on the go as you converse.
If you are a parent of a deaf child, I will be very happy to teach you how to sign bible stories for your child using spatial mapping, role shift, and facial expressions to make the story come alive and enjoyable for your child.
Whiteboard will be used if required to clarify points to make communication easier if needed. Converse and learn as you go with a fully Deaf person.

Hello, my name is Susan,

I was born deaf to a deaf family, and sign language is our every day language.

I taught as a school teacher for the deaf in Australia using Auslan (Australian Sign Language).  I have since married and moved here and use ASL every day. 

If you are looking for a Christian sign language tutor to learn Christian and church related signs, you've come to the right person! :)

Since I was born and raised in a culturally Deaf family, I would be happy to share my knowledge and tips on communicating with deaf children, any questions about it are welcome, I will even show you how you can ask the question in ASL!! :D
