I have been teaching Mandarin Chinese since 2014 with a unique method called TPR, i.e. Total Physical Response. 

In the class, you will learn to understand and speak the language through your senses, like a child learning the mother tongue. 

This is the most natural way for us to learn any language, through seeing, touching, smelling, listening, even tasting! 

There are many games and fun activities in my lessons that would engage you to speak and eventually enable you to communicate with native speakers at ease!

I encourage my students (age 5-80) to speak shamelessly and laugh with me.

I like to infuse games, activities and music in my classroom. 
I hope that you feel relaxed and confident at the end of the lesson and won’t be afraid to speak the new language with native speakers. 

As a musician, photographer and a mother, I will try to figure out what’s the best way for YOU to learn Chinese. Everyone learns differently, you will find your way.

Shunyu is amazing! She puts in so much energy and care into lesson planning, and has really supported me to focus on the exact material I want to be learning.
