I've been teaching math for over 15 years and love sharing and showing how much fun math can be for everyone! I've tutored all levels of mathematics (middle school through college) I tutor all levels of mathematics from pre-algebra to differential equations. I teach at a local community college, and enjoy tutoring all levels of mathematics. I particularly enjoy teaching homeschooled middle and high school students mathematics! I enjoy working through problems with students to build confidence and problem solving abilities.

I am a math teacher with over 15 years of classroom and tutoring experience. I love helping students find ways to understand math by making relevant and fun to learn! My enthusiasm for math stems from my belief that everyone can be successful and understand math. Every student is unique, I enjoy figuring out how each individual views and understands a concept, and I work with each student to create lessons that will help build confidence, introduce new concepts, reinforce what they know, and help students see that math is something they are fully capable of doing and enjoying! I've taught or tutored all levels of mathematics: elementary, middle school, high school and college (Algebra, Trigonometry, PreCalculus, Calculus 1-3, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations and Discrete Math).

I do not know what we would have done without Sharon to tutor our son in Calculus. She helped him work through areas in which he would get stuck and encourage him along the way. We were also able to have her help tutor our younger son in Algebra when he hit a concept that needed to be explained in more detail. I personally appreciate how positive and encouraging she is when the student feels like they can't figure out the problem. I'm sure my son will reach out to her for tutoring next year in college.

Sharon has been a fantastic tutor for two of my children so far. She is able to help my kids see how to do the problems they are stuck on, but also do it in a way that the concepts stick with them so they can build on it and use it in later applications. I have no doubt that we will use Sharon again in the future!
