Understand Chemistry: Get Help from an Experienced Chem Tutor

Chemistry is really hard... until it clicks. So let's work together to get to *that*. Who knows, you might even realize you actually really like chemistry... No one student is the same, so one-size-fits-all approaches do not work. I focus on an individual student's learning style in order to convey the material in a way best suited to the student. What makes sense and what doesn't? Where do things get extra confusing? How to approach this or that problem? Why does it work like this? My goal is to not only to help you really get it, but also to empower you to become your own best resource when it comes to understanding something new. In addition to explaining concepts in a graspable manner and outlining strategies to tackle the given tasks in a systematic and efficient way, I will provide practice problems and follow up with you when you get stuck on anything. I am *always* available to answer questions. I will encourage you and provide a source of positivity because I truly do believe that if you work at it with the right approach, you can achieve the objective. Let me know if you're interested in working together to tackle your Chemistry needs!

Hey guys. Thank you for checking out my bit! I would love to work with you to help you achieve your goals. Studies, learning and absorbing concepts, writing material that will go out into the world... it's not easy. I can completely understand, respect, and appreciate that. But! I also want you to know that you can do it. You can. With a solid approach and positive guidance, the thorough understanding of a subject is attainable. Let me be that guide for you. Let's work together to move forward and upward, closer to realizing the potential within you. And, let's make the process of working towards your goals an enjoyable one. No one student is the same, so one-size-fits-all approaches do not work. I focus on an individual student's learning style in order to convey the material in a way best suited to the student. In addition to explaining concepts in a graspable manner and outlining strategies to tackle the given tasks in a systematic and efficient way, I will provide practice problems and/or supplemental assignments to increase exposure, application, and comfortability, and follow up with you when you get stuck on anything. I am *always* available to answer questions. I will encourage you and provide a source of positivity because I truly do believe that growth follows effort! With patience, commitment, and willpower, a student can and will improve in the mastery of their subjects, and thus, their performance. With fundamental understanding, grades will follow suit. I hold degrees in Chemical Engineering and Political Science. Chemistry and writing are my two "soft spots" when it comes to all-things-study. I've worked as an elementary school classroom assistant, a language program instructor, a resume/cover letter editor, and a one-on-one tutor with students of various ages. I have professionally helped students with their academic and admission essays for over eight years. My priority is providing a patient and thorough review of your essays with detailed constructive criticism to help you express yourself in a way that leaves an impression. I hope to have the opportunity to work with you!

Shalini has been teaching my son the basics of Chemistry and so far it’s been a good experience. I believe she is dedicated and well versed with her subject.

Shalini is THE BEST. I probably wouldnt have gotten into college without her. I love Shalini's teaching style because she takes something relatively mundane (writing an essay) and gives you techniques and approaches to make it interesting and enjoyable. It was great to watch my work evolve into something really great with her honest feedback and accessibility.

Shalini helped me be able to tell my story and communicate my passions while I was applying to both medical school and residency. Through a keen eye for details and Just the right questions to help me develop my own voice, she was invaluable in helping me getting into graduate school to pursue my career. She will always work with you, and push you to reflect and to be your best self in the admission process with sights set to what will come beyond just the admission process.
