Hello! My name is Saturnina, but most people simply call me, "Nina." I've been teaching history/social studies for more than 20 years, and 15 of those years have been in international schools located in both Mexico and China. As you can imagine, I also teach a lot of English while giving classes in history. As well, after living for more than 10 years in Mexico, my Spanish is pretty darn good. And, so, I can offer classes in a variety of areas. Looking forward to seeing you in class!
Ms. Nina is one of the best teachers that I ever had. Her professional teaching experience and her passion for teaching helped me a lot in learning English and American history. Besides, as a teacher, she is friendly, patient and knowledgable, and we still keep in touch after the courses.
I am sure that you will learn and have fun with Ms. Nina.
During my time in middle school and high school I was always elated to be in Nina's classes. I found that out of all the teachers I had she was always the one to stand out because of her genuine compassion for her students and comprehensive teaching methods. As a student who had struggled to dedicate herself to school, I found that Ms Nina's classes were a breath of fresh air, and her classroom provided me with a space where I felt welcome and actually able to succeed. She was able to make seemingly dull topics fun to learn about and generated a culture within her classroom that was known amongst students as being the most enjoyable.
Nina has had a huge impact on my life by helping me build my confidence during some of the most formative years of my life. I am currently in the process of completing my Masters degree in education and I often think of how being a part of Nina's classes inspired me to take this path towards becoming a teacher myself. I have nothing but praise for her and believe that she embodies what it means to be an excellent educator and a role model for students.
