German with Sascha G.

My name is Dr. Sascha G. and I am an experienced professor of German of almost ten years. I earned my B.A. in English, Social Sciences, and Pedagogy at the University of Cologne, Germany. My M.A. in Comparative Literature (English & German) is from the University of Rochester, NY, where I also started teaching German as a TA. I completed my Ph.D. in German and Critical Theory at the University of California, Davis. I teach German at the beginner, intermediate, and advanced level and have designed numerous courses revolving around German language and culture, history, fairy tales, film, and television, to name a few. I have also extensively published on German language and culture. My students have always lauded me for my enthusiasm and authenticity, and have emphasized that my approachability and support helped them thrive and reach the next level. German language and culture is my passion and I am looking forward to sparking the love for German in my future students.
