Physics with Sarah W.

I am a physics and geosciences double major at Wellesley college. I am passionate about sharing my love for these sciences, and helping students grow as learners. Physics students can expect to learn the building blocks of physics, such as mechanics and electricity and magnetism. I can also tutor for more advanced level college courses and college test prep. I have taken two physics AP tests, and received 5's on both of them. I teach through real world examples, and encourage students to explore physics in their every day lives. I teach earth science students of all different ages and experience levels. I prefer to teach through big picture processes, as I find that students remember the smaller details better when they are all connected. As in physics, the best way to learn Earth sciences is in the field. After learning from me, you will be able to look at a rock on the side of the road and be able to tell its story, from how it formed to how it ended up on the side of the road you are currently standing on. Samples can tell us so much about the history of our planet, and it is important to be able to tell their stories. My personal passion is geology but I firmly believe that a strong foundation in the sciences is essential to every student.
