Writing with Samantha S.

I'm a high school English teacher with a passion for teaching writing. I've worked with elementary, middle, and high school students and adults in an effort to improve their writing skills. My teaching has focused on a wide range of writing genres and styles. My goal is to facilitate my students' writing growth through meaningful feedback, genuine engagement in the writing process (prewriting, drafting, revising, editing, etc.), and targeted individualized instruction. As an educator I have extensive experience utilizing various skills and strategies to meet the distinct needs of each student. In my practice I am innovative, reflective, and flexible in order to cultivate authentic learning and enable each student to advance as a writer. I'm excited by the prospect of working one-on-one with you to enhance your writing. I enjoy working with different forms of writing, including creative (poetry, prose, script/play, etc.), academic (class assignments, college essays, test prep), and work related (cover letters, resumes) projects.
