English (ESL) with Sam L.

Hello! I have been a dedicated and skilled educator for ten years and I am excited to help you fulfill your academic dreams. I have a teaching background primarily dedicated to Social Studies and English as a Second Language, and a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. My career includes five years in teaching 4th-10th grade social studies and five years in ESL or ELAR. Teaching has brought me tremendous joy, particularly so while teaching in the content area of English. There has never been a day where I feel like I am not growing or learning in some form, and I am always able to engage my students in learning a new topic. I have been fortunate to have lived and taught English in Egypt, India, Sri Lanka, and Costa Rica. During this time abroad, I taught ESL online to adults and children. This provided a wonderful opportunity to grow professionally and personally while taking in the history and culture of these countries. Altogether, my teaching experiences have allowed me to refine my skills to meet diverse student needs and interests it would be a pleasure to support you in learning.
