I teach Spanish, Czech, Slovak and English language. The last ten years I have taught students of ages between 18 months and 80 years from different countries. I have been teaching in training schools, in academies, in language schools and last three years I teach online. I also spent two years teaching English and Spanish in China, in Xiamen. I discovered that teaching kids younger then 10 years in individual classes online is very unproductive, therefore I am not taking children younger than 10 years if not with an older sibling that is at least 10 years old. I was born in former Czechoslovakia and in early nineties I moved to Spain. In the same time my parents moved to Chicago. I did my academic studies in Spain, in Valencia and in Granada: Master in English Studies, Master in Slavic Studies, Master in research of language and literature and Master in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. That means that I teach the standard Spanish by Royal Academy of Spanish language/Cervantes, but I am also aware of other varieties of Spanish such as Mexican or Argentinian and they are mutually understandable with the exception of dialectal vocabulary. My accent is that of European Spanish and is completelly understandable by the speakers of all the varieties of Spanish in America. My last thesis was about the pronunciation as I dedicate considerable time to that part of the learning. In time of globalization, it is very important to be able to speak and to understand spoken word. Times where we were demonstrating our knowledge of a language in written exams are long time gone, nowadays you need to be able to comprehend what is said to you and also you have to be 100% sure that what are you saying is understood.

Even if my english was not that good I think Renata would get me perfectly. She's really intelligent and I really liked her way of teaching. Hope to have more classes with her.
Renata was very sweet and patient with my daughter. She understands the need for repetition with young children and encouraged my daughter to keep trying!
My kids the like it very much. Can really see the difference after a few sessions.
