Ignite a ❤️ of learning from Bio/Science/Computer Science educator 10yrs experience & CK-12 Trainer
Students Creating Interactive Engaging New Content Experiences (S.C.I.E.N.C.E). Science is collaborative and exploratory . We will discover and learn about the world around us through empirical evidence. Together, we will dig deeper into how these findings shaped our understanding of the Natural world and how it is integrated into everyday life.
Our learning objective: Strengthen content areas of concern and draw connections between information and practical application. Any and everyone can learn, as long as they are persistent and consistent!
With 10 years experience teaching Middle Grades science ( Earth, Life and Physical) and Biology.
Coupled by a deep passion for S.T.E.M. with Energy/Sustainability problem based learning with Solar cars/solar cookers.
My certifications are in Middle Grades Science, Biology, Computer Science and a hobby enthusiasts with ARRL technician level and Part 107 ( small Unamnnrd Aircraft systems) .
Send me a message so we can build out a tutoring plan. Looking forward to seeing you learn.

About Rebecca H.
" Knowledge is power"
Science is my passion , when students draw connections between content and career application , their learning is so much more impactful.
My interest was piqued in a first grade science course . It was the only subject where asking questions was encouraged , and not challenged .
In high school my curiosity depended and led me to pursue a degree in Biology education.
After graduating from Florida Atlantic University with my Bachelor of Science in Biology education , I became a middle school science teacher. Instead of teaching towards the State exam, I focused on teaching towards the standards. This enabled my students to see the relevance in their learning , through collaboration, creation and problem based learning with solar cars/solar ovens. Curiosity and the intrigue of learning prompted me to go down the " rabbit-hole" of STEM at the end of the tunnel , Robotics and a CS certification . The focus was on physical computing with VEX, Microbit, Arduino, sensors, JIMU and Piper computers, ( Raspberry Pi).
Students dived in with Scartch from MIT, creating their own stories and interactive games they learned that computer science encapsulates so many industries from manufacturing to medical. The exploration of these content areas empowered them to become agents of change in society. The 8.5 year experiences gained in middle school catapulted me to High school as the Magnet and Vocational coordinator.
