I have been a math teacher for over three years and a tutor for over five years. I have taught levels ranging from pre-algebra/middle school math all the way up to AP Calculus at a Title I school. I studied at Purdue University and got my degree in Mathematics. I am very passionate about teaching and believe anyone can learn math! I love being able to break down a complex idea in a way that is accessible to all learners. I believe being a teacher is becoming a master of such a thing. I am extremely patient and love to use my creativity to explain and create a math experience that will make someone go "aha!". I think math is usually seen as being overly complicated or requiring extensive memorization to become proficient in it, but I believe anyone is capable of learning math and there are so many ways to think about math to begin with. I try to incorporate these ideas into my teaching.

I have a strong passion for teaching and I have worked with many students that come from a variety of ages, backgrounds, and ability levels. I start by first analyzing what gaps may exist in their understanding of math and then working with them step-by-step in order to build them up! I am extremely patient and I love to make math into something that all people can learn no matter what! I enjoy breaking math down into its core ideas and making sure everyone can understand it.
