I am a certified instructor of Japanese as a second language and a certified TESOL instructor. I specialize in communication-centric learning, with an emphasis on natural usage. We will dive into the cultural and historical background of the Japanese language and use over 30 dynamic language-learning methods to get you speaking right away! My goal is to help you take ownership of the language and communicate confidently at any learning level. I have been teaching for over 15 years, helping students ranging from three to 65 years old. I have taught people from all over the globe and I find it fascinating and rewarding to connect with people from so many different backgrounds. Having studied foreign languages myself, I know how much it helped me to have patient and kind teachers who genuinely cared about my progress and who were passionate about what they were teaching. I love being a part of the learning process, and as a tutor it is always a joy to see students making progress and finding satisfying answers to their questions. I try to make classes enjoyable and practical, making sure the student understands each step of what they are learning. I also encourage them to apply what they have learned and to practice using it in everyday situations.
