I am qualified to teach grades 6-12 in all subjects. I specialize in Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus, but am highly qualified to teach all branches of Mathematics. I also have tutored Mathematics to other graduated students. I can customize lessons to meet the needs of individual students as that is what my profession calls for.

My name is Rachel and I am a senior at Wayne State University's College of Education. I am majoring in English and minoring in Mathematics for Secondary Education. I have my certificates to teach both subjects from the State of Michigan. Not only do I have a deep understanding and knowledge in both subjects, but I understand the most effective and efficient ways to teach based on each student's needs. I can provide standard tutoring sessions or I can customize personalized lesson plans to each student.

I was a private math tutor, advertising by word of mouth for students at Wayne State University. I created lesson plans to target areas that students struggled with, while also emphasizing their strengths so that they would not be discourage when trying to understand certain content. As a private tutor, I helped my students prepare for placements exams at the college level and for the PRE, which is a certification test that students in teacher education must pass before they start student teaching.
