Fill in for teachers in all subjects and grade levels from Kindergarten-8th by performing the following duties: -Leading lessons left by absent classroom teachers, as well as conducting my own self-designed whole-class lesson activities for students in Grades Kindergarten-8th in different academic and elective subjects (namely: K-8 P.E. and Music, Middle School Math, and Elementary level Spanish). -Engaging students in small-group classroom instruction for elementary level reading, writing, and math -Dismissing students at the end of the school days -Classroom Housekeeping -Maintaining regular communication with school staff including providing absent teachers with recaps of the days' events and outcomes

For ten years and counting, I have tutored students from 1st Grade right up through college in a wide, growing variety of academic subjects in all areas across the board, in person and online. In 2014, I was featured in a news story about WyzAnt on San Francisco's KRON 4 NEWS. I currently (effective 2020) rank in the top 10% of all tutors on WyzAnt. I have also written published articles for the network primarily focusing on the essential elements of English writing and grammar, as well as providing advice for college graduates entering the workforce for the first time.

St. John Orthodox Academy of San Francisco

I provided lead instruction in- and created curricula for: 5th & 6th Grade Classical History, 7th & 8th Grade American History, 7th-10th Grade Modern World History, 11th Grade American History, and 12th Grade Civics & American Government-Economics. For all courses taught: I created, submitted electronically, and carried out lesson plans and activities on a regular basis. These included self-administered: quizzes, tests, essays, research projects, in-class debates, while utilizing educational media in the forms of music, movies, and interactive world maps for improving students' geographic awareness, in all of the above courses. I maintained daily electronic communication with students, parents, and colleagues. I issued final trimester and semester grades for all students in all courses based on completed projects, tests, classwork, and homework assignments (occasionally featuring student note taking for reading, and answering reading comprehension questions at the ends of different chapters in the courses' respective textbooks), all of which were entirely designed, assigned, and evaluated via individual student letter grades issued by me. I regularly posted homework assignments and letter grades online at the school’s network, Google Classroom, keeping parents and students informed of any updates pertaining thereto via consistent online updates throughout the process. And, I designed and evaluated final exams/projects for classes at the end of each Fall and Spring Semester for every school year taught.

San Francisco Friends School

As an extended day teacher, I oversaw/supervised after school activities for students in Grades Kindergarten-8th. As the computer typing instructor, I taught students in elementary school how to touch type on practice computer keyboards. As a substitute teacher, I filled in for absent teachers in different subjects and grade levels from Kindergarten-8th. As the cooking and baking class assistant instructor, I assisted the lead teacher and students in elementary grade levels during their summer school class of sorts by performing correlative hands-on kitchen-related labor.

St. Johns School of San Francisco

TEACHER'S ASSISTANT: Assisted lead teachers in Grades 1-3 and 6-8 in all general ed. subjects by helping to carry out lesson plans for: math, reading, writing, science, and social studies; correcting student work, conducting classroom management, and co-leading field trips. TECHNOLOGY COORDINATOR: Taught weekly after school classes on basic computer skills (Word processing, designing power point presentations, Internet research, managing personal files, etc.) to interested middle school-age students who then carried the learned skills over to assist their own teachers and classmates during the regular schooldays when it came to using laptops for classwork activities. GEOGRAPHY TEACHER: Created and executed an entirely self-designed Geography curriculum (featuring quality music and educational media as essential teaching and learning resources) for Grades K-8, covering world ground and history. MIDDLE SCHOOL SCIENCE LAB ASSISTANT: Designed, set up, executed, and afterwards cleaned up, weekly middle school science labs reflecting subject matter related to: Earth Science (6th Grade), Physics (7th Grade), and Environmental Science (8th Grade). ADDITIONAL PROFESSIONAL CONTRIBUTIONS: Served on the yearbook committee for three school yearbooks (2009-2012), and coached two middle school Academic Decathlon teams (English in 2009; Current Events in 2012). Performed the duties of an on-call substitute teacher school wide when lead teachers were absent from class. Also taught one five-week session of 1st & 2nd Grade summer school--covering instruction in Math, Reading, and Writing, from June-July 2010, which also included filling out and distributing weekly student progress reports to parents and guardians. Throughout my time teaching at St. Johns School, I remained popular with the parents and I have since gone on to tutor their growing children in later years who were my former students from the school.

Redding Elementary School (San Francisco Unified School District)

I assisted classroom teachers and students in Grades K-5 by tutoring students 1:1 in reading, writing, English (for ESL students) and math, and working with small groups of students on classwork activities. I also assisted the principal and secretary in and around the main office by filing and keeping track of student records, monitoring the front desk when needed, answering telephone calls, organizing storage rooms, organizing new textbooks and transporting them to classrooms.
