Hello! I have been teaching mathematics at a private high school in the United States for over 15 years. I have also spent part of my summer teaching middle school children algebra. I have a master's degree in mathematics, and I have tutored middle school, high school and college students. Probably the two questions I ask most often of my students is “Why?” and “Does that answer make sense?” I do not want my students memorizing steps, I want them to understand them so they see that one step naturally follows another. I feel that math is fun, and I want my students to feel the same way.
