Hi! My name is Nathan and I am super excited to be your teacher. A little bit about me, I am a junior at American University studying political science and finance. Throughout my time in DC I have gained a myriad of experience in academic research, politics, and writing skills. I have even interned at some really cool places too, including a congressional campaign and Americans for Financial Reform, a pro regulation lobbying group founded by Elizabeth Warren. Some of my hobbies are rock climbing, stand-up comedy, and mixed martial arts.
My entire life has been centered around kids and their education. Both of my parents are educators; my mom a third grade teacher and my dad a high school teacher. I have worked in both classrooms and am even a classified Paraeducator, qualified to work with children with special needs. Once I get enough credits I will be able to apply for a teaching credential and become a substitute teacher! Please feel free to ask me anything about myself. I am very open and love to get to know my students. I am looking forward to helping you achieve your goals!
I am a classified paraeducator during summer school. I work with students who need a little extra help grasping some of the concepts they didn't necessarily get throughout the year. I have worked with all ages ranging from kindergarten to 7th grade.
I worked in the financial regulation lobbying group Americans for Financial Reform. It specialized in financial regulation in such policy areas as Forced Arbitration, the Tax Bill, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
