Hi! I’m Nadia. I am a licensed educator specializing in executive function and supporting students with diverse learning needs. My approach to teaching is to treat each student as an individual who presents a unique set of needs and strengths. Students describe my style as laid back but effective. I live in Chicago and have a german shepherd dog named Cody. I love music and some of my favorite bands include the Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Beatles, and Kendrick Lamar. More on my background and education..I am a National Board Certified Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor through the state of Illinois, and Licensed Educator with an endorsement in school counseling through the Illinois State Board of Education with certification to teach students K-12. I also hold certifications in crisis prevention intervention, reading & literacy instruction, and behavioral analysis. I founded BEF Education, LLC in 2017 in order to focus more of time providing individualized support to students and families with all types of learning needs. My goal was to build an organization that provided support and service designed to empower students to become confident, self-directed individuals who possessed the skills to thrive not only academically, but personally and socially as they continued to grow and evolve. My role as an educator has fluctuated over the years and has left me with a wealth of knowledge and an efficacious ability to help struggling students identify real solutions that produce sustainable results. Although change is a process, I have so appreciated and valued the opportunity to help stimulate that change, allowing students to develop a strong sense of self worth and ultimately achieve the success they are capable of. My diversified experience in this field has prepared me to work with students with all types of learning needs. Throughout my career my main objective has centered around providing support and guidance that aims to empower students to become confident, self-directed individuals who achieve their fullest potential, leading lives they are passionate about.
