Mylene's pedagogy is perfect for very much improving my grammatical speaking and listening. I've been taking lesson for about 10 months and had a good deal of background from doing immersions in France plus having different French teachers when I am at home. My husband is a native speaker and LOVES the methodical way that Mylene is teaching. Besides having her exercises plus Quizlet to reinforce, she sends articles that we go over and also listen to small sections that are typical on some of the exams that one takes to prove they know French, along with the questions that are asked after the listening segment. I did not come as a beginner. In fact, after immersion at a French school three separate times but the challenge is to keep what one learns while in France and to improve. The brain require tincture of time for this with meticulous teachers. The most challenging for me is pronunciation because once away from the country, I'm not speaking all day every day, and the muscles for French are very different than English. Mylene also helps a lot with that the corrections because it is a challenge to know how you are pronouncing, especially with the nuances of many words that seemingly sound the same to the American ear but require quite different pronunciations to be understood by the native French speaker. I would recommend that you also do more than one lesson a week because between lessons, you will slip back, and progress will be slower. Bravo and thank you to Mylene for helping me improve a lot.
