Italian with Molly C.

Benvenuti! I've been bilingual (English and Italian ) since I was a baby- I was fortunate for that, and my parents made sure that I didn't miss out on the chance to learn Italian from our grandparents. My culture, language, and family have all brought me so much joy in life, and I would love to share that with you. I studied acting in school in the U.S. and have worked professionally in that field since graduating in 2012. Speaking Italian has afforded me the opportunity to recite in the language as well; performing for my grandparents in their native spoken-word was a dream I had for a long time! In addition to acting; I spend time building sets and working as a stunt actor as well. Cooking, hiking, video games, and computer technologies are a few of my other interests. Speaking of interests... In my classes we will not only develop conversational Italian as a skill, but we can explore subjects you are interested in as well; history, sports, coffee, art, cuisine (my grandfather taught me his pretty incredible salsa di pomodoro recipe...!), etc. My hope is that when you talk to an Italian friend online, or finally get to visit our beautiful country and sit down at a cafe bar- you will feel the confidence to LEAP into the conversation! Italians love someone who tries to speak their language- more often than not they are also very excited to practice their English on you... but will be very grateful for someone who can understand Italian as well.
