History with Mindi Z.

I earned my bachelor's degree in History and East Asian Languages and Civilizations from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2017, and will be getting a master's degree in social sciences from the University of Chicago in August 2018. The subjects I teach on Takelessons including Mandarine Chinese, ESL, History, and Essay Writing. A native of Hangzhou, China, I am a historian studying modern East Asian History in the United States. Instead of giving students tedious, boring lecture, my teaching style is characterized by lively interaction between the student and me, and I am skillful at asking thought-provoking questions and let the students find the answers by themselves, whilst I play the role of a guide and a friend. I believe this is the best and most efficient way to help students improve. I have well-prepared class plans for every subject I teach, but I am also flexible to the student's specific demands. I can also design special assignments or course plan well tailored to the student's needs.
