Hi! My name is Melanie, and I am a college student with a strong background in Math. With 3 years of experience in teaching, I have developed an extensive knowledge of instructional methodologies and techniques that cater to all learning styles. As a member of Mu Alpha Theta, I have gained valuable insights into innovative approaches to teaching Math. My student-focused approach emphasizes on making concepts engaging and relatable for my students, thereby promoting active learning. With my fun teaching style, I aim to create a nurturing environment that encourages students to develop their problem-solving skills and love for the subject. While Math is not everybody's favorite, my goal is to allow the student to gain passion for the subject. I prefer to use learning games to help the information be engraved in the student's brain. Learning games can allow the student to be engaged and learn more, rather than just teaching the concepts. In terms of hobbies, I am interested in learning languages and participating in sports, especially gymnastics. I am also very creative in terms of art. I am a hard-worker and love teaching students who are willing to learn and gain a love for the subject. Math doesn't have to be boring. We can make it fun through our sessions together!
