- Levels Taught:
My goal as a tutor is to not only help you "C" your way through an exam , but help you master the material. I believe if you deeply understand the material and the ways to apply it (in real-life and in theory), you are better equipped to handle the difficult problems. Having these capabilities, you not only recite the information, but apply it in new ways.
My tutoring technique is to find the gaps in learning that make the subjects hard to grasp and impart clear paths towards problem solutions. I also work with my students to develop effective study strategies, especially crucial for good performance.

- Teaching since:
"Ok, so like Math really isn't that difficult...."...says the person who never struggled with it. I struggled with math all the way through college. It wasn't until I didn't HAVE to do it, that I found HOW to do it.
The challenge was finding a way that math applied in my life and realizing that my approach to math was based on my MINDSET and being taught only one way. I was fixed in the mindset that I was not a "math person" and that prevented me from growth. I also didn't know all of the mistakes and wrong answers were important in helping my brain to grow new pathways.
I started my path into education by volunteering at my local after-school programs as a tutor. I then worked as a Math and ELA intervention teacher before becoming a fully certified Instructional Teacher. My goal is to instill confidence and teach in a way in which my students comprehend and relate to the material and can apply it school and life as a whole.
Oh yeah, almost forgot this part. I graduated from Brooklyn College with degrees in Biology and Exercise Science.
