Mary Beth is a highly educated and experienced math teacher and tutor. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Hamilton College in NY, and holds a current license to teach in Vermont for students in grades 5-12, with an additional endorsement to teach online. Mary Beth also earned a Master's Degree in Educational Technology from Marlborough College Graduate School in VT. Her breadth of teaching is extensive, teaching math in both private and public schools for middle and high school students. During her 20 years of classroom teaching, she has also taught remotely, as well as tutored students of all ages, including adults. She is experienced teaching elementary math skills, middle school math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and PreCalculus. Mary Beth is also experienced teaching home-schooled students, as well as tutoring for test prep such as the ISEE, PSAT, SAT, Praxis, MCAT, GED, and GRE. Mary Beth's passion is to help students of all ages, interests, and skill levels build their confidence and understanding of mathematics. She loves a challenge, from the student who is convinced they "can't do math", to students who "can't get enough math", to all students in between. She believes that with a caring, attentive, and knowledgeable tutor, all students can not only make progress, but also come to enjoy learning math, and to reach their goals!
