    About Mario M.

Hi there! My name is Mario, and I can't wait to meet you! I started learning sign language back in 2004, then started working as a professional sign language interpreter in 2007. I love meeting new people, and I would say learning sign language has been one of the biggest and most rewarding decisions in my life! I have been a nationally certified sign language interpreter for 5+ years. I currently work in the Video Relay setting which allows me to work with folks who are Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing, and Hearing by using a video phone and a regular landline-based phone. Also, in the academic setting, I have interpreted at the elementary, middle, high school, undergraduate, and graduate levels. I graduated Nashville State Community College with an Associate's Degree in American Sign language and have even worked there previously as an adjunct professor teaching American Sign Language. I LOVE to learn new things, as well as to teach new things! I even love learning how to learn! I am so excited to get to meet you, and look forward to helping you on your sign language journey!
