My three years of experience tutoring reading, writing, and math have prepared me to help you succeed in numerous academic areas. I have tutored students in middle school, high school, and adults. In college, I majored in English, but my coursework included extensive mathematics, language, and demanded the development of careful reading skills. I am an extremely curious person with a persistent desire to learn. Tutoring allows me to keep my mind engaged and continue to learn while helping others learn. I also enjoy building relationships with my students, allowing me to gain an understanding of their study habits and how to most effectively convey information. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors, biking, camping, and hiking. I have spent previous summers leading wilderness canoeing trips for participants in middle high school, and I make time for personal adventures whenever possible.
