In my 10+ years as an ordained elder, teaching spiritual formation workshops in my own community, I have not only witnessed individuals make beautiful transformations in their lives through this work but continue to evolve and grow spiritually, myself. As soon as you open your eyes in the morning your brain wonders about the meaning of your existence. Sure, you picture your day, consider your obligations, and ponder when you will have time to eat, rest, or "play." But underneath it all, you feel a strong sense of "there's something more out there for me" urging you to be still and tap into the true meaning of your life without the distractions that come with living it. In the 'Introduction to Spiritual Formation' creative expression sessions, you will undertake an inspired journey of self-discovery through class exercises using the book "A Little Journal of Self Discovery." You will express yourself through journaling, and more, for the sole purpose of growing and being formed spiritually. Your heart will reveal its deepest desires, while you begin to heal from past hurt and learn to forgive yourself for past mistakes. You will learn to live in the joy that was meant for you, on a path to uncover your talents and discover your God-given purpose. The goal is for you to live a balanced, holistically healthy life. As we will deal with the spiritual aspect, the other components can benefit as well.
