I am a retired college professor - and a teacher for the Hungarian language. My native language is Hungarian. I have been in the US since 1996, and soon after that, I created a website about the Hungarian language. As people found me online, I created more and more lessons, grammar tables, reference material and online exercise sets I also taught Hungarian for a church group and for some interested people in my city. I have taught Hungarian for all levels - from absolute beginners to those who once were fluent and lost more or less of their skills. I enjoy working with everybody who is interested in learning my native language.
As a mathematics teacher I worked in the learning lab of a community college, and also taught college level classes. I was a full time professor for 18 years. Working with students one on one, I developed methods to bring math closer to them, and to show that everybody can become successful in math.

I really appreciated Lilla's help with Hungarian. She was easy to understand, tailored each lesson to what I needed help with, and gave me helpful resources to practice with. I needed help reviewing and refreshing my Hungarian language knowledge before moving to Hungary, and felt much more confident in my skills after my lessons with her.

EXPERIENCE in teaching HUNGARIAN: I have also been teaching Hungarian, which is my native language for 20+ years online, through private lessons and in small group settings. I have written hundreds of lessons and practice sets. You don't have to buy books or CDs - I will provide everything you need to study. I have created a structured course for beginners, but I also have lots of material to support students on higher levels. Experience in Mathematics: I worked in the Learning Lab of a community college FT for 18 years: supervising peer tutoring and teaching workshops or working with small study groups. I also taught math classes from beginning algebra to calculus3, including probability and discrete math. Working in the Lab helped me to understand what students struggle most, and to develop methods to help them to become successful.
