About Kaitlin W.
I currently work in a field where I educate and guide young individuals with disabilities through their transition from high school to post-secondary training and beyond to the world of work. During my free time, I teach American Sign Language. My background in Sign Language is more of a personal experience - I grew up speaking/using two languages - English and American Sign Language. I have a hearing loss which propelled me to learn sign language at a young age. Now that American Sign Language is recognized as an official language, and more educational institutes are offering Sign Language as a course, I cannot help but become more eager to teach sign language or even tutor those who are currently taking classes. Come and take a class with me! I promise you that I am laid back and patient, but I will help push you to become comfortable with Sign Language.

Kaitlin, is wonderful. I have enjoyed every lesson that I have had with her. She makes me feel comfortable and is very patient with me. Love her!

Great lesson- thank you!

She is so sweet and patient!! Can’t wait for future classes!

Kaitlin is personal and is consistently helping me learn something new. I’m happy I get to further my ASL studies with her.

Kaitlin teaches my 5 year old daughter who loves attending the virtual sign classes. Kaitlin truly fits the 5 start 'best instructor ever.'

Kaitlin is an excellent instructor!

very fun classes, i feel like they are extremely helpful

This was my first time and I love it already! Kaitlin does a great job with explaining and making sure you understand everything she is saying and teaching you. I am so excited to continue on with my lessons!!

Great introduction, I am excited to continue

Kaitlin has been great to work with as we learn. Really helps us to build on our learning.

sooo kind and very helpful!!:)

I took weekly private online lessons with Kaitlin for 5 months. She was very open to hearing my goals and the specific areas I wanted to work on and brought different ideas to the lessons to add variety. She was flexible, non-judgmental, and helpful. I really enjoyed and learned from our lessons and highly recommend Kaitlin.

Needed someone who knew ASL to practice signing with, especially with the pandemic closing Deaf events. She was very nice and met me at my signing level. She answered all of my questions. I feel like my receptive and expressive signing has improved and will continue to improve.

She is really nice, and caring!!

Kaitlin was clear in her instructions and expectations. I know zero sign language, and she was friendly and encouraging. I got really excited about my progress just in the 30 minutes we had together and I am very excited to learn more!

Kaitlin is an AMAZING teacher!! She is so understanding and easy to follow along! I would recommend her specifically any day!!! thanks so much for the awesome classes!!

Really fun teacher helps practice conversation and receptive

I learned a lot through conversation and had a lot of fun

Im stone deaf and a bit self conscious and shy, i felt so comfortable with my first class, i was really nervous before it started. Kaitlin was so easy to understand, patient and i had so much fun, i was laughing and laughing and wasn’t scared. She helped answer questions and taught in a fluid way. Her personality and passion really comes through, such a cool woman who can explain and guide well! Highly recommend meeting her and trying a lesson out

Kaitlin is very helpful and patient. Mariah enjoys her class.

Very friendly and knowledgeable.

Kaitlin was an excellent teacher. She was very patient and helpful in teaching me sign language. I highly recommend her to others.

Kaitlin’s a great teacher: thorough, knowledgeable, patient, and great sense of humor. She should definitely be at the top of your list when picking an ASL instructor.

Is there anyway you would teach in person? Maybe meet up at a coffee shop or something like that? I just learn alot better in person.
