I'm a computer science student with years of experience programming in Python as well as other languages like Ruby, C++, Java, C#, and more! Programming is my passion, and I love helping others grow as programmers as well.
Out of the many fields in programming (game, embedded systems, web, etc.), I chose web development because I see a lot of opportunities in betting on the web. The Internet will live for many years to come!
Outside of programming, I like to play video games, read, and lift weights. I'm also a big math nerd (go figure!) which helps out a lot when trying to think of ways to solve programming problems.
I was formerly a Rubyist. I did a lot of work doing Ruby and Ruby on Rails building portfolio sites. Ruby was a really pleasurable language to work with, but I feel like it so niched to the web with Rails that I decided to move to Python. There are more opportunities in Python besides web development, and that's what attracted me to move to the language. Also, Ruby and Python are really not that different from each other. It's the same exact woman!
My current language of choice is Python, and I'm in the process of building websites in Python using Django. Eventually, I'd also like to build fun projects in Python like games (Pygame) and even get into data science since Python is pretty hot in that area right now.
I look forward to tutoring you and helping you better understand Python and programming in general so that you too can build awesome stuff!
