Hi! My name is Julie and I have been studying Spanish for 18 years and don't think I'll ever stop learning it! I love to share the language and culture that I'm passionate about.
I graduated from Marist College in 2007 with a degree in Communications. I studied Sports Communications and minored in Spanish and Global Studies. I studied abroad in the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico and while in school studied Spanish literature, film, conversation and culture. Listening to Spanish music is my favorite way to learn. I have had experience teaching children while in high school and in college and currently tutor weekly and some of the children speak Spanish as a first language.
My goal is to hone skills and have them incorporate it into their daily lives. Knowing and learning Spanish has allowed me to interact with others, travel the world and challenge my confidence. I hope to instill these in someone else.
I look forward to working with you!
