German with Joshua B.

My name is Josh and I am a recent graduate of The University of Texas at Austin where I studied German and Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies. I am currently working as an English teacher through the US Fulbright Program and plan to begin a PhD program in Germanic Studies in 2019. Reading, writing, travelling, and language learning are some of my greatest passions, and it would be an honor to share some of those passions with you! Having studied German, Polish, Russian, French, Spanish, and Mandarin to varying degrees, I can relate to the difficulties that emerge when learning a foreign language and have a wealth of insight on overcoming those difficulties. As an avid music listener and concert-goer, I am also a proponent of language learning through music and hope to incorporate this into my lessons with you as a means of developing not only your linguistic fluency, but your cultural fluency as well. I am excited to work with you and look forward to hearing from you!
