Writing with Joseph A.

My name is Joseph and I'm very passionate about education, writing, music, art and politics. I have experience teaching high school students music and helping them with their homework. I'm also a radio DJ at my universities radio station, KUCR, so I really love to listen to new kinds music and talk about politics and culture on my show. I recently finished up classes at UC Riverside for my degrees in English and Creative Writing. I love writing essays but I also love to write short stories. My favorite genres to write in are science fiction and magical realism because they allow me to take those confusing and inexplicable things that life throws at you and turn them into lessons on relationships, culture, history and the inner-self. One day I'd like to open an after school program for high school students that teaches creative writing and media literacy and film production. I look forward to working with you!
