Spanish with José C.

Jose is a really great teacher and I have been taking lessons with him for several months. Over that time I feel that I am making good progress with my Spanish. Jose is really conscientious and takes time to learn about you as a student and your motivations for learning. He applies this knowledge in how he teaches a lesson, for example, remembering your interests and hobbies. The lessons are always fun and exercises are challenging. I would recommend Jose as a teacher to anyone who wants to learn Spanish - particularly as he takes time to explain how people really speak the language, as opposed to just teaching the formal textbook ways of speaking.

Jose is a wonderful teacher whose love for learning and literature is contagious. His desire to help his students succeed is genuine. He has a wealth of knowledge which he is eager to share. Everyone should be lucky enough to have someone like him to help them in their language learning quest. His easy-going manner, his cheerful disposition and his smiling countenance which bubbles over with enthusiasm is a combination that is impossible to beat.

Conversation classes with José are highly productive. No matter what turns out to be the subject of the day, he keeps you on top of your toes with informed opinions contrary to your own. Which forces you to think in Spanish and reformulate your ideas in Spanish. And then, of course, after receiving corrections, reformulate them once more in PROPER SPANISH. That's what conversation classes are all about.
