Me professionally? I have taught children in China, and though I was not physically in their classroom, the experience was so enriching. I learned as much from them (if not more) than they did from me. We worked on everything from basic phonics to reading pieces of literature and talking about themes and ideals. I spent time learning about their culture and their language in order to truly teach them in a holistic and organic way. I believe it created a wonderful connection and teaching relationship. It is beautiful. I'm a lover of coffee, dark chocolate, jazz music and thunderstorms. I read and disappear into the biggest and most detailed books I can. It makes my soul happy. I live with humility, find dignity in darkness, celebrating small victories, and showing unconditional love to all who surround me. I celebrate the joyful moments, however big or small. I love my windows down, my music up, and lots of time with no place to go, an open road in front of me. I miss the ocean, and I visit it whenever I can. My husband, a blanket, and a hoodie are some of my favorite places to be cuddles- add a cup of chai, a thick book, an aromatherapy candle, or some popcorn, and that is heaven on earth. I love old movies, film photography, the spontaneity of my munchkins as they grow up, and every moment in between.
